5 Minute Light Fix(ture)

I can't believe how easy it was to fix an ugly light fixture in the guest room. I saw this drum shade at Target on clearance and new it would be perfect for the guest room. Isn't it beautiful? And it was only $10.

In all my excitedness, I forgot to snap a before shot. So here is me holding up the globe light cover that was up before this. Just a standard ball, but pretty boring in my opinion.

So here is the final product with the light on. So much better and prettier.

Stay tuned for more guest room posts, as this room has really come a long way.

I Put Something On the Wall

So after gaining some inspiration from here and here, I decided I finally needed to try it out myself. Just a clearance mirror at target, about 120 BBQ skewers from Walmart and a lot of hot glue later and here is what I got. I taped off the middle and went to town with Krylons's Caramel Latte. Its a great subtle gold color.

Here is is up on the wall over the dresser. Taadaa! I finally put something up on the wall in our bedroom.

My First Post

Well here goes my first post!

I wanted to start with a little wishing. I created this mood board to show my inspiration for my master bedroom. This is the first room in our new house that I plan to tackle and finish (and also my first mood board creation) . Of course I will be working on the other rooms all at the same time, because who am I kidding, I can't just do one room at a time.

So I will be back to show some before pictures...and in progress pictures...and hopefully one day a finished picture. ;)

Thanks for reading.
